Food & wine event
"Vie dei Sapori" was designed starting from this concept, enriched with challenges, gamified content, and a good dose of music.
"Vie dei Sapori" is a food and wine event for gourmets who love adventure. An itinerant dinner through the streets of Modena, divided into three paths with different themes. Participants can discover the menu only by solving some challenges that are posed throughout the dinner. The evening ends with a concert in the main square of the city.
To design this event, the following process was followed:
To start with, I mapped all the restaurants, hotels, parkings and attractions of the city centre of Modena. Then I searched for some case studies related to my project. This analysis was useful for the concept generation and the planning of the event.
Then I analyzed the potential users who could join the event, creating buyer persona. For each one of them, I reconstructed their journey from the very first moment they find out about the event, to the moment they decide to come and arrive there.
This path revolves around Modena tradition, both in the cuisine and the challenges. Participants can taste typical dishes and compete to find out who knows the city best.
From Italy to the world. A path that allows discovering new flavours and cultures, starting with the multicultural restaurants located all around the city.
This vegetarian path offers a fresh take on Emilian cuisine, featuring creative variations of traditional dishes made with vegan and vegetarian ingredients.
The event is built around gamification: to discover where each course will be served or what’s on the menu, participants have to solve challenges throughout the evening. I took care of designing these challenges, creating interactive and fun ways to keep people engaged.
The economic sustainability of the event relies on securing partnership agreements with the participating restaurants. Further collaborations with sponsors or local stakeholders will help cover the costs of the final event and the planned environmental actions.
The event is designed with due regard for the environment and SDGs 11 and 13 of Agenda 2030 (Sustainable Cities & Communities, Climate Action). The event is completely plastic-free, separate collection is mandatory and some drinking water dispenser are placed around the city.
